ENGLEWOOD

Englewood
is a small,
easy-going beach front community along the Gulf of Mexico
near the Gasparilla Sound. It bills itself as the “Gem of
the Suncoast,” “where the livin’ is easy.” Located on
beautiful Lemon Bay, Englewood is situated in an area
that straddles two counties and is harbored by several
small islands. One of Florida’s best-kept secrets, the
town of Englewood has four pristine beaches, all which
border the Gulf of Mexico. Choose from swimming,
searching for seashells, sunbathing, boating, fishing,
scuba diving, snorkeling or hiking along the ocean’s
edge. The sun sparkles off the turquoise water, turning
it to emeralds and sapphires and the sunsets are
unbelievable. The warm, tropical climate and off shore
breezes make Englewood a place you’ll want to return to
again and again.

restorative and a perfect place to start or end your vacation!

Atlantic).
Located at the
North end of the barrier island known as Manasota Key, it is a
quaint place to picnic and relax with a book. It is a larger
beach with almost no sandbar. Amenities include: restrooms,

lifeguard. There is a boat launch across the street with it’s
own parking area.
Whether you are a

have fuel, ships store, boat storage, wet slips and more. Just
be sure to maintain proper licenses and observe safe boating

are also popular with miles of water-ways meandering through
Lemon Bay and the Charlotte Harbor Estuary System. You can
expect to see mangrove forests, salt marshes, and seagrass beds
as you glide along the clear, warm topical shallows and keep an
eye out for manatees and dolphins! And kayaks are a great
fishing vessel for up close fishing experiences!
The ideal
setting for young families, winter residents and retirees
alike. With a relatively low crime rate, the average age of
Englewood residents is 58, and the population is expanding
quickly.
